Leadership Transition Announcement for RoadBotics

After a very successful launch and growth of RoadBotics, Inc., Mark DeSantis, co-founder, CEO and member of the Board of Directors, has decided to step down from his executive and director positions. Ben Schmidt, RoadBotics other co-founder, who has been CTO and responsible for product and the day-to-day operations of the business, is being named President of RoadBotics and will also join the Board of Directors.

Mark has been a talented and visionary leader in the startup phase of launching RoadBotics out of Carnegie Mellon and delivering its groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence road assessment product to over 150 customer cities on 4 continents. Together Mark and Ben have been critical to attracting and developing a highly talented team and establishing key relationships with the industry, culminating in the recent $7.5 Million Series A investment round led by AI-focused venture capital fund Radical Ventures. Mark will remain a significant shareholder and senior advisor to the Board as executive leadership of the company transitions to Ben.

“On behalf of the entire Board, we sincerely thank Mark DeSantis for his many contributions to the development and growth of RoadBotics, and for his continued support,” says Jordan Jacobs of the Board of Directors & Managing Partner at Radical Ventures. “At the same time, we heartily congratulate Ben Schmidt and are very excited about Ben leading the team into the next phase of explosive growth of RoadBotics, which is revolutionizing how governments and businesses around the world make data-driven roadway management decisions using Artificial Intelligence.”
